Travels in Germany
On February 2015, hitchBOT explored Germany with Galileo, the flagship prime time edutainment show of Prosieben – a German broadcast channel.
hitchBOT’s journey began in Munich on February 13, 2015. In just 10 days, it travelled through cities like Cologne, Berlin, and Hamburg. Along the way, it visited places such as the Neuschwanstein Castle, Brandenburg Gate, and Cologne Cathedral. Relying on the help of its German friends, hitchBOT hitched a ride in a sport car, on a bicycle, and a bus to safely arrive back in Munich on February 22, 2015.
Similar to its Canadian adventure, hitchBOT attended a wedding near Frankfurt where it received a special kiss from the bride. Unique to its German adventure, hitchBOT participated in the carnival Rose Monday Parade in Cologne.
Learning about the German people, culture, and language was an amazing experience for hitchBOT. Below are blog posts written by hitchBOT during its travels in Germany.
